Menu Periods are a method of making parts of a menu available at different times. The use of menu periods has mostly been superseded by the use of availability rules & selectors.
Menu periods are "tags" that refer to a schedule. Click here on how to create common schedules.
Sub menus, menu categories or specific products on menus can be "tagged" with a menu period. This will ensure that the individual component of the menu follows the associated schedule.
