How to Set Minimums on Items

Minimums can be set on items in order to restrict app users from ordering less than the required minimum quantity of the product.

Sometimes it is not profitable for venues to prepare/sell single quantity of an item when ordered by itself. Setting a minimum order quantity on an item restricts the customers from ordering less than the minimum quantities of those items.

Minimum quantity for an item can be set to an item either from the Product Line or directly in to the menu. Follow the steps below on how to configure:

Via Product Line

Step 1. Click on 'Catalogue', then click on 'Product Lines' to see the list of your current product lines, then click on the desired product to edit.

Step 2. Scroll to 'Ordering and Preparation' section, then set the value to the field under 'Minimum App Order Quantity'.

Step 3. Then click on 'Save Product' to complete.

Directly into the Menu

Step 1. Go to 'Chewzie Ordering', then select 'Menus' under 'Menu', then click on the menu where the item is in.

Step 2. Click the category under 'Category Name' where the product is listed in, then select the product.

Step 3. Scroll to the 'Min Qty' column then enter the value against the product.

NOTE. If the 'Min Qty' column in not visible, you may need to add it first from the columns list.

Step 4. Finally, click the 'Save Menu' button.

In the ordering app, the item with the minimum quantity configured will default to the minimum quantity when ordered.
